About Mirjam
From early age I have been sensitive for other people’s wellbeing and energy around me.
I have always been interested in social behavior and psychology, which is why I chose a social pedagogical study.
After graduating in 2007 I have been working with drugs addicts, psychiatric patients and homeless people.
With L!cht Yoga & Coaching I combine my experience as a mental healthcare taker, coach and yoga teacher in deepening group programs, team training and individual coaching.
With body oriented exercises, mindful walks and meditation- and coaching techniques I guide people towards a wider – felt sense -experience. So that you can relax and trust the flow of live.
The trainingprograms are formed and developed from personal and professional experience with all the tools that I provide.
Teacher Training
From my own needs I felt I needed some guidance in managing lots of different outside influences and impressions and in finding a way to calm the mind. I started practicing yoga in 2008, but only really got to intergrate it in daily life after a friend inspired me to go to India and stay in an ashram.
In January 2013 I completed the Teacher Training Course in the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram in Neyyar Dam (India). Here I discovered a lot of tools to practice what I was looking for. Since the day I left the ashram, you can find me on the yoga mat every day.
Over the years, I have completed several courses and found my own teaching style. For me, yoga is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, an anchor in difficult times, a way of life.
Since 2020 I started to organize mindful walks in the dunes in The Hague. I discovered this is (also) a great tool to practice being mindful in the present moment.
Why practise yoga / mindfulness?
I know from my own experience how challenging it can be to stay balanced, both in energy and in mental and emotional resilience. I’ve struggled with things like anxiety, hypersensitivity and perfectionism. However, yoga and mindfulness taught me to accept ‘what is’ instead of trying to fix everything. For this I use different tools I found such as asana practice, breathing exercises, meditation, mindful walking and mantra repetition/chanting.
About the classes
I love to share my experiences. It motivates me to see how people can benefit from that. You’re very welcome to follow any of my classes, I will teach in Dutch or English, depending on the students that sign up for the class.

For companies
The amount of time we spend ‘in our head’ while thinking strategically and planning, distracts us from the internal processes that influence our decisions and behavior. It takes us away from the present experience.
Inner motivation arises when we are connected and act in line with our personal and collective values, needs and aims. When there is a sense of ‘us’. A balance in self-interested values and collective interest.
By using mindfulness and values in the workplace, your employees can learn to become aware and regulate their own energy level.
If they can be fully present and bring their whole selves, they are able to use their full potential. And if they can balance there own needs and the collective needs, there will be much more positive energy around!
